Avoid The “All or Nothing” Approach
Let’s talk results…
So many people fall into what I call the ”all or nothing” trap.
That is, they buy expensive equipment (even though they just started) and proclaim to the world how ”fitness is their life” only to give up and never go to the gym again (They look pretty silly doing this too)
Instead have a more balanced approach than most people.
Commit to the 80/20 rule.
That is, just stick to your diet 80% of the time and just stick to your workout 80 % of the time.(You don’t have to be perfect you’re human after all) you just have to be good enough, most of the time.
This may be fitness heresy (don’t tall anyone I said this) but you can even eat a little junk food every now and then, as long as you stay committed 80% of the time.
Now, don’t get me wrong, jumping in with both legs can be a good strategy (and provide you with a great kick in the … you know)
but when it comes to fitness it’s all about the long haul.
Not days, but weeks, months… even years.
It takes about 30 days to craft a new habit.
In my personal experience it takes a little longer.
